My Therapy Specialties
-
I have worked with many clients experiencing different types of anxiety and depression, including generalized anxiety disorder, major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, dysthymia, and social anxiety disorder. My foundation is psychodynamic therapy, but I flexibly incorporate tools from cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.
Each of us is unique. My goal is to help each client identify what is driving and maintaining their pain. I want to help you recognize and build your strengths in order to reduce your symptoms and be in the world in the way you want to.

I provide therapy for people with disordered eating and eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. I work with people who feel that food and their body takes up too much brain space. My goal is for you to restore your health, enjoy food more and obsess about it less.
I draw from a range evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy for eating disorders (CBT-E), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness. I am weight-inclusive and non-judgmental.

Life is a series of transitions. We go from school to work, from child to parent, from partner to caregiver.
Each time we move into a new phase of life, we have to adjust our sense of ourself and identity to our new situation.
I have worked with many people struggling to adapt to new situations: pregnancy loss, infertility, parenthood, bereavement and caregiving, for example.
I can help make these transitions smoother by helping you to manage your emotions differently, contextualize your responses to these new situations, and tolerate new uncertainties.
